The names appeared in a notice announcing the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to the document, Adeleke will coordinate the council’s activities in Osun State, while Omisore will serve on the advisory team.
The campaign council is scheduled for inauguration on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Adeleke’s inclusion is particularly striking given that he is the incumbent governor of Osun State, while Omisore remains a prominent figure in the State’s APC politics and a former deputy governor.
However, questions remain over Adeleke’s appearance on the list, as it is unclear whether he has accepted the purported appointment or whether his inclusion has been officially acknowledged by the governor.
