Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was named Chairman of the council, with Deputy Governor Olaide Adelami appointed Vice Chairman I.
Other vice chairmen are Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji; APC State Chairman, Babatunde Kolawole; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele; Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; and Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande.
Former Governor Olusegun Mimiko is listed as a member, while former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Victor Adekanye Olabimtan, will serve as Director-General. Dr Sylvester Olumuyiwa Adu was appointed Deputy Director-General, while Ola Oguntimehin is the council’s Secretary.
The campaign council brings together serving and former political office holders, lawmakers, party leaders, technocrats, legal practitioners, women and youth leaders, support groups and grassroots mobilisers drawn from across Ondo State’s 18 local government areas.
According to the APC, the council is expected to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures, mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election bid and support other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
The party said the composition of the council was also aimed at uniting its stakeholders and supporters while advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda across the state.
The development comes against the backdrop of efforts by the Ondo APC leadership to consolidate its structures ahead of the 2027 elections. Recent calls by party elders for supporters of Governor Aiyedatiwa and Minister Tunji-Ojo to avoid actions that could deepen internal divisions have also highlighted the importance of cohesion within the party ahead of the polls.
With the 228-member structure now in place, the Ondo APC is set to commence a more coordinated statewide mobilisation campaign as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
