The Super Eagles head coach has released the much-anticipated players list for Nigeria’s crucial FIFA World Cup Playoff clash against Gabon in Morocco next week.

The announcement comes amid growing excitement and verbal sparring between both camps, following Victor Osimhen’s bold declaration that he would “do everything” to help Nigeria secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Osimhen, who was instrumental in the Super Eagles’ qualification after scoring a stunning hat-trick against Benin Republic last month, has vowed to lead the charge once again when Nigeria faces Gabon.

Reacting to Osimhen’s remarks, Gabon’s head coach, Thierry Mouyouma, fired back during a press conference on Thursday, saying:

“Osimhen said he would do everything to take Nigeria to the World Cup. I think Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already answered that question by scoring four goals against The Gambia. So, I have almost nothing to say about Osimhen’s words.”

Football fans across Africa are eagerly anticipating the fiery encounter, with both sides boasting elite attacking talent and a World Cup ticket on the line.

Nigeria will look to Osimhen’s firepower and team chemistry to outshine Gabon’s experienced side led by Aubameyang, in what promises to be a thrilling battle in Morocco.
