The Jigawa state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has inaugurated three committees for contact and reconciliation of the aggrieved members of the recently held party primary elections in the three senatorial zones.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the State Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Ado Sani Kiri said the committees were to set up sub-committees at local government level with a view to meeting the aggrieved members.
He said the party will continue to work with supporters ahead of the forthcoming general elections, and urged the committee members to be fair and just in the discharge of their assignment.
Also speaking, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar said his administration will ensure equal right to all APC members to keep it united and strong.
He said the committees have two weeks to submit their reports and hoped that all stakeholders would give their supports.
The Inaugural ceremony was attended by the State Deputy Governor Barrister Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, Speaker Jigawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Isa Idris Gwaram, party elders, local government chairmen and hundreds of supporters.
