A police inspector simply identified as Sylve and brother of the former Chairman, Kuje Area Council, Alhaji Mohammed Galadima, have regained freedom. Another victim, Nengbe Mundi, has also gotten off the hook. They secured freedom after the payment of N2 million as ransom.
The three victims were abducted last Friday and Saturday, in Rubochi community, Kuje council by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
A family member, who preferred anonymity, confirmed the release of the police inspector and the two other victims on Wednesday. The kidnapped victims were according to the source released at about 11am after the kidnappers had collected one million ransom for the younger brother of the former LG boss , N550,000 for the police inspector and N400,000 for the third victim, Nengba Mundi.
The ransom was reportedly taken to the kidnappers at a forest in Ggowodi village , Toto local government council , Nasarawa state. N30, 000 Glo recharge, one roll of Apen cigarette, a carton of Boska tablets and a pain killer were also allegedly demanded and collected by the kidnappers. ‘We thank God that they are all back home safely and I believe God has answered our prayers for seeing them back with their families’ he said.
