The Director- General of the All Progressives Congress  Governors' Forum,  Salihu Lukman has called for an urgent meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC)  or the Caucus to resolve the numerous crisis plaguing the party.

A statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by the secretariat of the forum stated that the party's NEC and caucus have failed in their responsibility to the party thereby leaving the Adams Oshiomhole  led National Working g Committee to lead the party to a dead end.

The APC NEC met last in August 2018 against the statutory law which mandates the party organ to meet every quarter.

The APC Governors'forum statement is coming on the backdrop of the recent crisis that has taken over the better part of the Edo state chapter of the party.

Lukman noted that it was disheartening for the party Chairman to be devalued to local factional leader from the high pedestal of an "illustrious national leader" stressing that Oshiomhole should appreciate that he has a national constituency.

While describing the disqualification of Bayelsa's Deputy Governorship Candidate,  Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo as discomforting, the APC Governor's Forum said the party was setting stage for another depressing outcome of Zamfara, Rivers,  Bauchi and Adamawa states in the 2019 general elections.
