The suspended Etsako West Council boss, Mr Yakubu Musa has said that there is no rift between him and Ag. Chairman of the Council, Hon. Alh Inusa Imonofi. This blog has learnt.
Contrary to the speculations within the Local Government Secretariat that the suspension of the Council boss is generating tension in the Council.
Mr Yakubu Musa made this disclosure at a Sallah get-together organised by the Etsako West APC exco, warning those behind the rumour to desist from spreading it.
He said: "There is no rift between the Ag. Chairman and I, we're good friends."
In his remarks at the event, the Etsako West Local Government APC Chairman, Alh Abubakar Akokhia expressed gratitude to Allah almighty for His benevolence. He welcomed and thanked all present for honouring the party's call for a Sallah get-together. He informed the gathering that the get-together became necessary as part of the tradition of the former governor of Edo State, now the National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress, Comr Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole in hosting the party for a get-together in his hometown, Iyamho during festive seasons.
According to him, the party is successful hence celebrations must not seize to take place.
Addressing the current issues faced with the party in the state, the chairman told the gathering that there's no cause for alarm for any reason whatsoever, and urged party faithfuls to remain calm and law abiding and should pray for the best at all times.
The Ag. Chairman of Etsako West Local Government, Hon Alh Inusa Imonofi stressed that the party's unity is sacrosanct. He urged the public especially members of the press to be truthful and verify information before dissemination.
Mr. Yakubu Musa, this blog recalls was suspended for two months by the Edo State government over #46million payroll fraud.
