The Benin Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Edo State has charged Nigerian youths to shun all forms of corruption by imbibing the spirit of integrity.
The charge was made during anti-corruption sensitization talk to the NYSC Corp members at Issele Ukwu Asaba , Delta State.
The Zonal Head, Mailafia Yakubu who was represented by Ogolekwu Mary of the Public Affairs Department of the EFCC Benin Zonal Office explained to the Corp members the workings of the EFCC in the Zone.
He added that the engagement was to sensitise the future leaders on the ills of corruption aimed at collaborating with the youths in fighting corruption in Nigeria.
"I am here to sensitize you, the future leaders of this country, Nigeria on the ills of corruption with the aim of engaging you in the fight against corruption. You must shun all forms of corruption including the Advance Fee Fraud called, Yahoo-Yahoo, mostly perpetuated by the youth of your age. You must adopt the culture of integrity and be legitimate in your day to day dealings, if we must create a better Nigeria".
Yakubu concluded by encouraging the Corp members to always remember their roles in the fight against corruption as they are to be focus and think of ways to develop Nigeria and also ensure that they pass the message to others.
" You must remember that you are vital in the fight against corruption, be focus and think of ways to uplift the country. create an enabling environment for future generations and pass the anti-corruption message to others".
