A tragic incident occurred in Angwa Abocho, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, when a 70-year-old man, identified as Malam Abu Yusuf, was struck by lightning during a heavy downpour.
The incident, which took place around 5:40 p.m., left the
local community in shock. According to reports, Malam Yusuf was outside when
the lightning struck, causing him to collapse and die instantly.
Malam Abu Yusuf will be laid to rest on Friday morning, in
accordance with Islamic burial rites. His sudden death has left family members
and residents of Angwa Abocho deeply saddened.
