The Executive Chairman of Owan West Local Government of Edo State, Hon. Frank Ilaboya, has congratulated the Odibiado of Sobe, His Royal Highness, Anthony Ero Aleburu and the people of Sobe Kingdom as they mark 'Sobe Day' today.
The Council Boss, in a Press Statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr.
Hassan Otinau, felicitates with the Monarch and people of Sobe, assuring them of a stronger bond among sons and daughters of Sobe and Owan West at large.
According to the Statement, "this year's celebration is very unique, coming after the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki in which the great people of Sobe played a major role.
“On behalf of the good people of Owan West, I congratulate you all as you celebrate Sobe Day today.
“I am confident that this year’s celebrations will not only foster peace and unity
among the people of Sobe, but Owan West at large, accept my hearty congratulations."
Sobe Day is an annual event that brings together all Sobe sons and daughters both home and abroad to pursue a common goal of developing the community.
It started in 1993 and has since waxed strong with each passing year.
