Esan West LGA of Edo state was on Friday agog, when the Obaseki-Shaibu Campaign train stormed the various wards of the LGA as part of the ward-to-Ward campaign strategy ahead of the 19th September, 2020 gubernatorial election in Edo state.
As a mark of honour and respect, the campaign train's first terminal was the palace of HRH Barr. Ehizogie Aburime II, the Onojie of Ekpoma, who eulogized the sterling qualities of governor Godwin Obaseki, and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, particularly in their immense role and facilitation of the presidential pardon granted Late Prof. Ambrose Alli, and the laudable projects executed in the Community.
The first class monarch wholeheartedly conferred traditional titles on the two men with unbroken bond, as the Amenya and Ofure of Ekpoma, respectively.
Ujiogba, Ogwa, Eguare, Uhiele, Ukpenu, and Iruekpen which house wards 1-10 of the LGA were also religiously visited with praises and showers of encomiums on the governor and his deputy by mammoth crowd in all the places visited, signifying their unwavering support and determination for the Obaseki-Shaibu project.
Notable personalities who were visibly present and participated actively in the event were; Chief Dan Orbih, Chief Kenneth Imasuagbon, Chief Tom Ikhimi, Hon Frank Okiye, Comr Jude Imagwe, Comr Mrs Maryann Philip Shaibu and a host of others, too numerous to mention due to space constraints.
In the final analysis, it has been concluded as signed, sealed and delivered, that the entire Esan race have resolved to massively reelect Obaseki-Shaibu.
