Convicted Jehovah's Witness elder Roderick Watkins has submitted his appeal. He claims the judge should never have permitted his neighbor to testify against him. Ms. Dill came forward after reading a Jehovah's Witnesses Survey article about Watkins, posted in an Arkansas Facebook group.
Ms. Dill saw Watkins touching a boy inappropriately, but only came forward when someone posted the Survey article in a Heber Springs Facebook group. Dill contacted police, then identified the boy in a room full of witnesses. Watkins says her testimony prejudiced the jury.
