Covid 19: Imo State Government Shuts Down Commercial Vehicles all motor parks and distributes bags of rice to the 27 local governments as a palliative measure to cushion the stay at home effect

Following the wide spread of the deadly diseases around the world, the Governor of Imo State His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma after his broadcast and sensitization against Corona Virus in the State, has issued an Executive Order on how to combat the spread of the disease.




The Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has directed that all motor parks operating within the state be shut down immediately.

The directive is in furtherance of the  efforts by the state government to contain the spread of Coronavirus in Imo.

Meanwhile the Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma on last Saturday announced a lockdown of the state and prohibited activities in churches, markets, Mosques, marriages, burial ceremonies among others.

Sequel to that the Governor further directed that commercial vehicles operating within the state should stop doing so immediately and ordered that all motor parks be shut down forthwith.

He has also in his magnanimity and love for Imo people, distributed thousands of bags of rice to the 27 local governments so as to ensure that no Imolite dies of hunger although the period.
