Pastor William Kumuyi, the general superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry has announced Vision 2020 for Nigerian Christians as a plank upon which they should build their lives in the New Year.
The Vision 2020, according to the revered preacher, is a call for Christians to look away from any challenge and focus on the ability of God to bring solution to all problems.
Pastor Kumuyi is aware that challenges are bound to come, hence he encouraged Christians never to fear but look up because there is solution in the heavens.
In a watch night service held at the Deeper Life Conference Centre, along Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Pastor Kumuyi called on all Christians to see God as greater than all the challenges that may come across their way in the New Year.
In the message titled: “Our 2020 Vision of the Final Solution,” Pastor Kumuyi implored Christians to see no impossibility in all their pursuits as nothing is impossible with God.
He took his leading text from 2 Chronicles 20:20 where King Jehoshaphat told the people of Israel to “Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established, believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.”
He implored Christians to see possibility in the New Year, insisting that “We must prosper, we must succeed, we will be above every storm of life. 2020 is a year of solution for us. You will be established. Always see possibility in everything you do this year.”
He quoted the Bible saying: “I will not fail thee nor forsake thee,” insisting that there is a solution to every issue affecting man’s life on earth. Hence, in this New Year, Christians should start the year and live through the year by believing on all the promises of God for their everyday life.
He, however, called on Christians to be truthful, faithful, obedient and maintain integrity coupled with unity with others to achieve their dreams for life. He added that in the New Year, Christians should not be lazy.
He said: “In this coming year, there should not be laziness, no oversleeping, rise up early from bed. Don’t allow the challenges in society to dampen your vision. Don’t spend your early morning hours on frivolities. Face difficult issues with the courage from God. In the midst of crisis, God will step in.
“Whenever problem that comes your way, remember vision 2020. Don’t think about whom you are, think about whom God is and his ability to address that your challenge. You will be a blessing to multitude of people in the New Year. You must not quit. Quitters never win.”
