Gov. Seyi Makinde calls for support for Nigerian Legion.
In celebration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Governor Seyi Makinde donated the sum of Three Million Naira (N3,000,000) to launch the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem.
The Governor who was ably represented by the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan asserted that it is important to honour all fallen heroes who laid down their lives in the service to humanity during the first and second world wars, Nigerian Civil War, Peace Support and Internal Security Operations.
The Governor also appealed to the general public to support and donate generously to the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebrations/Emblem Appeal Week.
