A 23-year-old boy, who wanted to live big at all costs and had to betray the trust his final year University undergraduate girlfriend had for him, has been arrested by police detective in Ogun State for the gruesome murder of the girl.

Also in police net for the nefarious act is a self-professed Christian cleric of a white garment denomination as well as the wicked boy's mother.
The suspect, Adeeko Owolabi, had surreptitiously lured the victim, 22-year-old student of Sociology in the Lagos State University (LASU), Favour Daley-Oladele, to the white garment church shepherd, Segun Philip, in Ikoyi-Ile in Osun State, in a premeditated arrangement to kill her for ritual.

Narrating the callous nature of death Favour suffered, Adeeko told police detectives investigating the case that, the deceased, who was his girlfriend, was fast asleep, an opportunity himself and the shepherd were waiting for to accomplish their mission.
He said: "The pastor gave me a pestle with which I smashed her head, while he, in a quick succession, severed off her head from the neck with a sharp knife. The pastor, thereafter, dissected her chest and removed her heart, with which he prepared a concoction for me and my mother to eat".
Giving reasons for his action, Adeeko said his family's penurious living standard forced him to seeking solution from the shepherd, who told him that the only way out was for him to resort to money-making ritual that required a human being. "And Favour was the only one I thought was at my reach. I lured her to Ikoyi-Ile, and the plan was hatched", Adeeko stated.
Favour was declared missing on December 8, 2019, a report her parents made at Mowe Police Station in Ogun State, saying she left home to an unspecified destination.
According to a press release made available to Crime Puzzle by the Command's spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, "The DPO, Mowe Division, SP Marvis Jayeola, detailed his crack detectives to unravel the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of the 22yrs old girl. The detectives went into full scale technical and forensic investigation of the case and their efforts paid off when the movement of the deceased was traced to a white garment church in far away Ikoyi-Ile in Osun State, being pastored by one Segun Philip.

"On getting to the church, the self-acclaimed pastor was promptly arrested but he was quick to inform the detectives that the girl was brought to him by her boyfriend, Adeeko Owolabi, who was still within the vicinity of the church. The said boyfriend was traced and apprehended immediately.
Meanwhile, according to the release, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Eleweran in Abeokuta, for proper investigation, while also describing the gruesome murder of the deceased as superlative degree of wickedness and vowed to ensure that all the suspects faced the full wrath of the law
