Following the unconstitutional suspension of Etsako West LGA APC chairman, Alh Abubakar Akokhia JP, over 500 party, women and youth leaders across the 12 wards in the local government in an enlarged stakeholders meeting unanimously rejected the purported and unconstitutional suspension of its local government party chairman.
Leaders who spoke at the event, noted that the illegal suspension was organized to disorganize and distabilize the hard-earned structure of the party in the local government by the members of Obaseki/Shaibu Movement, OSM a group sponsored by Edo state government.
The enlarged meeting resolved that, it is constitutionally unacceptable for 12 out of the 28 party exco members to suspend the LGA party chairman for a no just course. Stressing that the action is capable of breeding division and factions in the party.
The enlarged stakeholders meeting which passed a *vote of confidence* on the leadership of Alh Abubakar Akokhia JP, also used the medium to call on the party's National and State body to sanction the erring individuals before their actions gets deteriorated.
In his remark, Alh Akokhia expressed delight over the turnout of party leaders, women and youths, noting that he will continue to ensure the party's success in all elections and strengthen the structure under his watch.
