27-years-old man rapes woman 11- years older than him

A young man has ran into trouble for giving in to his maddening lust to sleep with a woman, who is eleven years older than him, at all costs.

Adam Kunle, 27, told the police, after his arrest, that he had made several unapproved advances to the woman but had to settle for force when it became apparent that he might never get to accomplish his objective easily.

Consequently, the suspect, having done his spade work through surveillance, realized that the 38-year-old victim was alone in the house and was fast asleep on Monday, November 4, 2019, he allegedly sneaked in at about 12:30pm and forcefully slept with her.

Worried by the development, the sexually abused victim lodged a complaint at the Ibafo Police Division, leading to the alleged rapist's arrest.

Confirming the development, the state Police Public Relations Officers (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a press release made available to our reporter, stated that the suspect, who resides very close to the victim's residence in the Makogi area of Ibafo, "sneaked into her room where he forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her against her wish".

Oyeyemi said: "The suspect was arrested following a report by the victim (Name withheld), who complained at Ibafo Police Station that, while she was sleeping in her room, at about 12:30 in the afternoon, the suspect, who lives in a house not too far from hers, sneaked into her room where he forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her".

According to the PPRO, "Upon the report, the Divisional Crime Office (DCO) of the station, SP Akindele Andrew, quickly led dectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly
arrested and taken to the station, adding that," On interogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime, but claimed to have been making advances to the victim for quite sometime, of which the victim had been rejecting his offer. He stated further that he took advantage of the lady being the only one at home on that day, to have his way on her".

Oyeyemi further stated that the victim had been taken to the hospital for medical attention and report, even as the State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution.
