The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar against the election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The seven-man panel, led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad said the reasons for the dismissal of the appeal would be given later.

Buhari’s lawyer, Wole Olanipekun (SAN) said the decision of the court is justified and expected, saying it was evident that President Buhari won the presidential election, saying the reason by the apex court would explain more.
Atiku’s counsel, Levi Uzuokwu (SAN) said there is a problem with Nigeria’s electoral jurisprudence, saying, “if things are not done as soon as possible, there is problem”.
“We have done what we need to do and things have come up the way it did, the rest is left for Nigerians. We will be waiting for reasons that the judges want to give in dismissing the case”, he said.
