The National Assembly and State Houses Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Ikeja has declared Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (aka Yayi) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the February 23 election for Lagos West Senatorial District.
The three-member panel, led by Justice Kunaza Hamidu, unanimously held that the petition filed by Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging Adeola’s victory was defective.
The tribunal held that the petitioner failed to establish any case against the respondents.
