Ex-Pastor decries intellectual property theft

A former Nigerian Pastor has taken to the Social media to condemned high rate of intellectual theft among Nigerian.

Al Akhigbe said that this practice has to be stopped as this is not the way in developed nation. According to him, people pay a token for using someone's intellectual property but in Nigeria reverse is the case.
He said: People steal write-ups with reckless abandon. If they manage to tell you they used your write up in their blog, you'll thank God. Meanwhile, they're making money from your intellectual property. Smh."

Nigerians are so used to the hard knock life that they forgot life can be easy. They wheel and deal, scam, steal and kill in the quest for a good life. If only they know there's just so much such inordinate practices can give to man.

Have you ever tried being nice to people? I mean, giving and lifting others? I know, like me, they'll take advantage of you. But I also know that, like me, you'll experience a kind of joy and fulfillment that you never thought possible.

No, this has nothing to do with religion. It's a natural principle.

Why am I preaching this night sef? I've been in this space and I try to give the little I can. People blog with my posts. Some are responsible enough to inform me afterwards, others don't give a damn. Me too, I don't give a fuck. What's in ordinary Facebook posts that I use to kill boredom sometimes?

Yesterday, a dude posted my post in his blog in my comment section and required my permission to put up the present post on his blog. I joked about him paying firstfruit of blogging with my post. He told me his payment method. Haba, farmer no dey use money buy seeds? Drop some for me nau.

Play-play, play-play, dude was in my inbox requesting for my account details o. Farmer that doesn't slack, I provided both naira and dollar account details. I wanted to also drop the pound sterling, euros and yuan accounts. But I say make I calm down fess.

No do, no do, farmer got alert this evening. I checked who the sender was. It's the same dude that hit my account. He said that's what he pays for write ups that are already public. My guy, you mean say, you dey pay for my Facebook post that is already public? He said, we pay for intellectual property where I live.

Funny thing is, he's not even on my list.

I don't know how much it is in £, I just know some money dropped in my account and I'm still in this honky tonky bar destroying a bottle of Label now.
