The Councilor representing Nkpologu Ward in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Princess Ezinne Ezeugwu has admonished youths in the community to step up their games by facing the challenge of nation-building and youth development.
Ezeugwu, popularly known as Ada Uzouwani stated this last weekend when she spoke at the Nkpologu Youth Empowerment Summit. The Summit, organised by Pastor Rex was held at the country home of Senator Chuka Utazi in Amaezike Ogba and attended by hundreds of enthusiastic youths.
In her speech on Career Talk and Guidance, Ezeugwu advised young parents to learn how to nurture their relationship by addressing each other appropriately, and staying neat for each other at all times. She also informed the unmarried ones to ensure that they are decent and not repulsive before their peers.
“Ping yourselves and be attractive to each other. No one really pays much attention to a dirty individual. No one wants to be around a girl with a smelly armpit or a boy with smelly mouth. Dress the way you would like to be addressed”.
“When you are unkempt, your husband or wife won’t even want to be with you and will begin to address you as Papa Ada or Mama Ada. The result is that you begin to behave like old men and women and lose your values and dreams as youths.
She also admonished them to learn trades that will fetch them good earnings, as well as make them great ambassadors of the community.
Ada Uzouwani is one of the youngest, proactive serving Councillors in Nigeria. She is also a frontline, pro-Ugwuanyi youth and women ambassador.
Highlights of the event include Girl Child Talk, Spiritual and Foundational Truth, Business Chat, Ideas and Connections, and Entertainment. Gift items were also shared to youths who were present.
