The African Action Congress (AAC) has inducted pioneer Exco that will pilot the affairs of the party at Ward 5 South-Ibie, Etsako West local government on Saturday.
The election which was conducted at the Party's secretariat, Iyakpi produced Lateef Mumini as Party's youth leader, Haruna Nurudeen as Organising Secretary, Rukayat Ahmed as Financial Secretary, Sikirat Mamudu as the Women Leader.
Others are; Mrs Woni Sebiatu as Assistant Women Leader, Aminu Omosa Karim as Ward Chairman, Jubril Sufianu as Vice Chairman, Mrs Alidu Ramotu as the Secretary General, Monsurat Ibrahim as Assistant Secretary General while Sikiratu Kadiri emerged as the Party's Public Relations Officer. They have since taken the oath of office.
In his acceptance speech, the Ward party Chairman, Mr. Aminu Omosa pledged not to abuse the confidence repose on them to manage the affairs of the party while promising to uphold the constitution of the Party.
The AAC party Chairman, Etsako West local government, Comrade Hafiz Lawan admonished the new exco to see their new position in the Party as a call to service. Urging them to be action-driven, humanitarian, sympathetic.
The Chairman said: "Your being elected to serve is not because you're the most qualified, but because you have the ability to lead. I urged you to be sympathetic, humanitarian and abide by the Constitution."
He added that the Party is fully ready to contest the next Edo guber poll.
According to him: " We are here today because AAC is a successful party that does not want to attain its goal alone but to help others to succeed as well. As this could be seen in the just concluded Presidential election, AAC took the third position, that is, APC first, PDP second and AAC third.
"So, we are in third position today in both the state and the federal level. I believe in the coming Edo State governorship election, AAC will be the winner and in 2023, AAC will rule the country. "
