It was a tragic scene of blood and tears this morning at Tessy Road in Rumuogholu Port Harcourt as a rottweiler from a neighbouring compound attacked school children in their school killing one child and living another critically injured.
This blog learnt that the dog which was not in chains at the time, ran out of the compound after the security guard thoughtlessly opened the gate and went straight into an unfenced school belonging to Assemblies of God Church where it killed its first victim and would have also killed the second child if not for the timely intervention of a policeman who shot and killed it.
The second victim is receiving treatment at a hospital in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile the careless security guard has been arrested and is presently in police custody.
