These are definitely good times for Nigerian football fans as the U23 Super Eagles took a cue from the Senior team to secure a comeback victory over The Mediterranean Knights. The Super Eagles lost the reverse fixture two nil at Tunisia.
The Eagles produced a superb performance to trounce the sorry Knights and secure automatic qualification for CAF U-23 Championship.

Francis Uzoho (7/10)

The 20 year old Super Eagles goalkeeper redeemed himself by producing a solid performance to deny the East Africans after causing a blunder to concede against Seychelles.

Duru (7/10)

Duru continued his quest for a senior appearance by producing yet another solid performance. Duru was a constant threat down the flanks as he provided support to the attack and maintained hi8s defence stability for 90 mins.
Awaziem (7/10)

The on loan Porto star was calm as usual. Awaziem controlled the defence and made sure Francis Uzoho had little to worry about throughout the duration of the game.

Etboy (6/10)

The versatile Akwa United star held his ground as he kept the Libyans busy with his blistering pace and power on the flanks.

Ozornwafor (7/10)



Valentine was calm and confident on the ball, snuffing out opposition attacks before it got to the Eagles box. Awaziem and Ozornwafor provided just the cover Uzoho needed to shine as, Rohr will have been watching and in no time Valentine may be making a senior appearance soon.

Okechukwu (7/10)

Çaykur Rizespor of Turkey star, Azubuike Okechukwu played arguable the best game of his Super Eagles career this evening. Okechukwu was the Robin to Nwakali’s Batman as he made sure the fleeting star got all the support he needs to flourish.

Nwakali (8/10)

Arsenal star Kelechi Nwakali was the lynchpin of the Super Eagles midfield. The skillful attacker was a constant thorn in the flesh of the East African as the Eagles coasted to victory.

Orji (7/10)

U-17 World cup winner Orji shone like a million stars alongside fellow medalists, Nwakali and Awoniyi. Orji was denied a wponderfulo assist when he laid on a sublime pass for Awoniyimbut the striker could only miss from close range.

Chukwueze (8/10)

Villareal of Spain star, Samuel Chukwueze proved whynhe is regardec as the next big star of Nigeria football. The blazing winger had a near perfect game causing havoc for the visitors at every chance he got.

Osimhen (10/10)

Victor Osimhen produced a fantastic man of the match performance with three goals and an assist. The Wolfsburg star stole the show as he bagged an impressive hatrick and laid an impressive pass for Substitute Okereke to lash on.

Awoniyi (6/10)

Taiwo Awoniyi had an unusually quiet outing, The Burly striker missed a golden opportunity to put the Eagles ahead with scores at 0-0. He was deservedly replaced by Okereke.

John came in the 86th minute for the impressive Etboy and was not on the pitch long enough for a rating.

Okereke showed up as a super sub, scoring late on to seal the fate of the libyans after coming for the less impressive Awoniyi.
