Two women police on Wednesday arrested suspected armed robbers operating with a motorcycle in Ogun State.
According to report, the armed robbery suspects, Hafiz Omidokun, 29 and Peter Babalola, 27, riding a motorcycle, crossed the car the women police were driving and, at gun point, dispossessed them of their bags and phones.

They thereafter raised an alarm that attracted other motorists and commuters who gave the armed bandits a hot chase and caught up with them while attempting to snatch another bike to facilitate their escape bid.

According to him, the suspects were about to be lynched by angry mob when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Sango-Otta Division, CSP Oyedele Nasirudeen, who had earlier received a distress call, arrived the scene with his patrol team and rescued them to the station.
Recovered from the suspects, the police image maker said were one locally made pistol, one expended cartridge and a motorcycle.
He further said, "the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for discreet investigation".
