The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has concluded plans to use beneficiaries of the federal government empowerment scheme, N-Power as adhoc staff for the 2019 general election .
This came after a joint meeting of the N-Power officials and the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the NPower Situation Room, Abuja.
Speaking after the close door meeting, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Nigeria President on Job Creation and Youth Employment, Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede thanked the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the privilege given to the beneficiaries of N-Power scheme to serve as adhoc staff in the 2019 general election
He further stated that the N-Power scheme will work in hand with the electoral umpire in ensuring a free, fair and credible election come 2019.
Speaking also, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the meeting and further requested the scheme to forward the comprehensive list of all N-Power beneficiaries to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He assured the scheme that selected beneficiaries will be communicated once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) concludes on the date, time and venue of the Adhoc staff training in each state of the federation.
