The immediate past PDP Chapter Chairman on Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, Hon. Mfon Udonsek alongside other ward chairmen and executive members of the party have defected to the All Progressives Congress.
The defection announced during the empowerment scheme organized by Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio yesterday at Ati Annang Foundation Secretariat was formally perfected today at the Shelter Afrique residence of the member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Ekon.
Former Chapter Chairman, Hon. Udeme Marcus Akpan applauded Udonsek for joining the All Progressives Congress family and accepting the change agenda of the party.
Responding on the behalf the defectors, Hon. Mfon Udonsek stressed that he had no option than declare for APC citing the sterling representation of Hon. Emmanuel Ekon especially in the area youth empowerment and job creation. He added that PDP does not reward loyalty citing how the executives were used and dumped after the 2015 general elections.
On his part, Hon. Emmanuel Ekon thanked the defectors for joining APC and pledged his continuing commitment to providing leadership and effective representation for Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency.
